BLUE RIBBON ACTIVES

Recognizing the power of movement and community, Blue Ribbon Actives is our recreational wellness arm. We organize themed fun runs, fitness events, and social wellness activities that blend health messaging with vibrant, lifestyle-based engagement. Whether it’s the Blue Ribbon Fathers Day Run/Walk for Prostate Cancer or a “Run For Your Lungs” run, the “Blue Ribbon Easter Virtual Challenge”, or a “Good Vibes Only” fun run, our events attract health-conscious individuals, fitness enthusiasts, and curious first-timers who leave not only refreshed but informed and inspired to take charge of their health.

We are open to partnering with organizations, corporates, and communities to co-create or manage events such as: Fun Runs & Walks (for health awareness or fundraising) Hiking Challenges (to promote wellness and men’s mental health) Golf Tournaments (targeting corporate audiences) Estate/Church/Community Races (bringing health to where people live and worship). The proceeds from these events go into facilitating the events and ensuring they are a success and the balance goes into funding our programs.

PAULINE KABAKA MEMORIAL RUN.png

In 2017, the late Pauline Wambui Kabaka, together with a small group of like-minded individuals, came together with a bold vision: to establish the first girls’ secondary school in Kinyona Location, Murang’a County , the community where she was born and raised. From this vision, Bishop Gatimu Kinyona Girls Secondary School was founded. Pauline was deeply passionate about the education, empowerment, and wellbeing of girls and women. She believed that educating a girl transforms not only her life, but the future of entire families and communities.
To commemorate six years since her passing, the Blue Ribbon Initiative is proud to host the first Pauline Kabaka Memorial Run, scheduled for 28th March, 2026 in Kinyona, Murang'a. This event is dedicated to raising funds to support the education and welfare of needy girls at Bishop Gatimu Kinyona Girls Secondary School, ensuring that financial hardship does not stand in the way of their potential.
In addition to registering for the run, we invite you to support this cause through a financial contribution. You may choose to donate towards specific needs listed below, or give any amount you feel led to contribute. All proceeds from the Memorial Run and donations will go directly towards school fees and essential upkeep for at least 10 girls for the academic year. With your support, we hope not only to reach this target, but to exceed it,  creating lasting impact in honour of Pauline’s legacy. Together, we can keep her vision alive and empower the next generation of girls through education.
